Why Choose WUE?

Today, society in general, and the knowledge sector in particular, increasingly presents new educational demands that require professionals with multidisciplinary training capable of meeting them.

These new educational needs have, in turn, generated new educational fields and contexts, different from conventional ones, requiring specialized educational interventions led by professionals with specific skills. These skills are generally lacking in those who graduate from university, especially those who have never received pedagogical training.

Currently, in many countries, there are an increasing number of professionals from different fields who are dedicated or wish to dedicate themselves to teaching, even though they have never had the opportunity or the opportunity to receive training in this field.

These studies aim to meet the needs of these professionals and act as a relevant service to our society. The intention is to improve the education sector by, in turn, improving the learning process of graduates. Thus, WEU offers training that prioritizes autonomous learning without neglecting constant, flexible interaction tailored to the needs of pre-service teachers.

The program features an infrastructure comprised of a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) and highly developed academic management, enabling it to offer a tailored service, thus facilitating the teaching-learning process. WEU considers the incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) essential as an essential part of training and an intrinsic part of future professional work. In this sense, ICT is used in the curriculum across two training plans:

– An educational plan, to enhance, enrich, and increase teachers’ explanatory power and expand student learning through the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), where students access an online library and synchronous and asynchronous discussion spaces;

– And a pedagogical plan, where ICT integrates the formative process in a continuous learning by doing, in which the process of resolving tasks is considered in itself a process of creating innovations and managing knowledge.
